Tying instructions
1) White thread from eye to bend 2) Tie in feelers (using Veniard super-stretch floss) over and eyes under at the bend 3) Tie in white bucktail, then ten strands of crystal flash, then brown bucktail, all extending well beyond bend by at least a shank’s length 4) Tie in brown bucktail over the eye and trim. Use waste from 3 & 4 to form a tapered body 5) Soak shank with varnish to lock materials 6) Return thread to bend and trap badger hackle by the tip and the chenille 7) Return the thread to eye then wind chenille in touching turns to eye and trap in 8) Palmer hackle to the eye, trap in, then return the thread to bend through the hackle 9) Tie in body cover through hackle, then whip finish at eye 10) Colour body to suit, then coat with glitter varnish, then Hard as Nails
