Tying instructions

Tie headfirst – use white thread as a base (⅓ of the shank from the eye), tie in lead wire on top of the hook from eye to ⅓ and then wind back to eye in close turns, nip off. Cover with varnish or superglue, and overwind the thread several times to fill gaps, tie off. Coat head with white Tippex forming a smooth surface. When dry, paint with bright yellow varnish (Revell’s or nail varnish). When dry add small black eyes. Now tie in red thread behind the head, take to bend, tie in slim tail, gold wire, and then dub the body up to the head. Tie rib in opposite direction, then tie off behind head.

Fishing Instructions

Slow figure of eight retrieve at varying depths, interspersed with sharp pulls. Vary the speed of retrieve if necessary. Best fished deep.
