Tie lead underbody to form “hump back”. Tie in optional feelers (“tail”). Tie in wire rib. Tie in clear plastic strip for shellback. Dub olive fur to hook eye. Stretch plastic shellback to eye, secure with thread. The red spot is a spot of red varnish applied to the shell-back before tying in rib. Tie rib over whole to form segments. Tie off rib and shellback and form neat head with thread, |

Fish with long leader, 3 quick jerks, pause, then long pull, then repeat. |
Interesting Facts: |
There are many variations on these shrimps which can be tied without the red spot, but with a red, orange or yellow tag at the bend instead, dispensing with the “tail”. |
